Quick Summary
Pedagogical Perspective (PedPer) (eISSN: 2822-4841) is an open-access journal and does not charge authors any fees at any stage of the publication process. There are no article processing charges (APCs), no submission fees, no review fees, no page or colour charges, and no subscription or access fees for readers. All published content is freely available under a CC BY 4.0 license, in alignment with the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI).

2) Language Proofreading (Free of Charge)
As part of PedPer’s pre-publication quality assurance process, manuscripts accepted for publication may undergo language proofreading via Paperpal by Editage, free of charge. Authors may alternatively use another professional proofreading service at their own discretion. This step is conducted after acceptance and does not influence peer review or editorial decisions. See the Language Policy for details.
3) Non-Profit and Equity Commitment
PedPer operates as a non-profit, open-access academic journal. All costs of publication — including hosting, DOI registration, digital preservation, editorial infrastructure, and language proofreading — are supported by the publisher and the journal’s institutional resources.
This model ensures that:
- All authors may submit and publish their work free of charge, regardless of institutional affiliation, geographic location, or funding status;
- All readers may access published content freely, without subscription or registration barriers;
- Financial considerations do not create barriers to scholarly communication or participation in international research.
4) Editorial Independence from Fees
PedPer’s editorial decisions — including acceptance, revision, and rejection — are based solely on scholarly merit, methodological rigor, and ethical compliance. Because the journal does not charge any fees, there is no financial incentive to accept or reject any manuscript. The absence of APCs reinforces editorial independence and ensures that publication decisions are free from commercial influence.
For details on editorial decision-making, see the Peer Review Policy.
5) No Waiver System
Because PedPer does not charge any fees, there is no need for a fee waiver or discount system. All authors — regardless of country, institution, career stage, or funding status — publish on equal terms.
6) Changes to This Policy
PedPer is committed to maintaining its APC-free, open-access model. In the unlikely event that the journal’s fee policy changes in the future:
- Any changes will be announced publicly on the journal website with reasonable advance notice;
- Changes will not apply retroactively to manuscripts already submitted or accepted at the time of the announcement;
- Authors who have already submitted will be given the option to withdraw without penalty if a fee is introduced that was not in effect at the time of their submission.
