Author Guidelines

Pedagogical Perspective (PedPer) accepts submissions on a rolling basis through its Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform. All manuscripts undergo double-blind peer review by at least two independent reviewers. There are no article processing charges (APCs) or submission fees.

Language: English only

Authors must prepare their manuscripts in accordance with the following requirements. For detailed formatting, structure, referencing, and language specifications, please refer to:

  • Aim & Scope — Confirm that your manuscript falls within PedPer’s editorial scope.
  • Section Policy — Identify the appropriate article type: Research Article, Review Article, Analysis/Case-Based Article, or Vision Paper.
  • Author Guidelines (full page) — Detailed formatting, structure, referencing (APA 7th Edition), and language requirements.
  • Templates and Forms — Download the manuscript template, title page form, revision form, and withdrawal form.
  • Authorship & Contributorship — Ensure all listed authors meet PedPer’s authorship criteria. CRediT contributor roles are strongly encouraged.
  • Publication Ethics & Malpractice — Familiarise yourself with the journal’s ethical standards.
  • Generative AI Policy — If you have used any GenAI tools, review the disclosure requirements.
  • Language Policy — Manuscripts must be written in English. PedPer provides complimentary language proofreading for accepted manuscripts via Paperpal by Editage.

Submission Checklist

During the submission process, the OJS system will ask you to confirm the following. Please verify each item before proceeding:

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in Microsoft Word (.docx) format.
  • The manuscript has been prepared according to the PedPer Manuscript Template (web based / paper based)
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • A separate Title Page (web based / paper based) has been prepared and includes the following: full manuscript title; complete author information (names, affiliations, ORCID iDs, emails); corresponding author identification; author contributions (CRediT); funding acknowledgment; conflict of interest statement; ethics approval details (if applicable); generative AI disclosure (if applicable).
  • The manuscript file does not contain any author-identifying information (names, affiliations, or identifiable self-citations). File metadata have been cleared.
  • A cover letter addressed to the Editor-in-Chief has been prepared, describing the study’s significance, relevance to PedPer, and confirming originality.
  • A structured abstract (150–250 words) and 3–6 keywords are included.
  • References are complete, accurate, formatted per APA 7th Edition, and in Roman (Latin) script.
  • All ethical and scholarly declarations are complete (ethics approval, informed consent, COI, funding, GenAI disclosure). See Publication Ethics & Malpractice.

It will be assumed that you have already accepted this privacy policy statement while using the PedPer website. PedPer website may contain links to other websites and this policy statement is not valid for those websites. PedPer website does not collect or record information related to people’s identities, such as their names, surnames, e-mail addresses, phone numbers, or postal addresses. However, visitors’ IP addresses, information related to their browsers, operating systems, the time they spent on the PedPer website, and the pages they visited might be recorded for the purposes of statistical assessment, website maintenance, website administration, and improvement.
