Pedagogical Perspective aims to advance contemporary scholarship in education — particularly in teacher education, curriculum and instruction, learning sciences, social studies education, educational technologies, and related interdisciplinary fields — by:

  • publishing high-quality, peer-reviewed studies that address a broad range of educational topics and contribute to both theoretical and practical knowledge;
  • publishing quantitative, qualitative, mixed-methods, theoretical, methodological, and critical review articles that offer strong conceptual framing, integrate theory and practice, and provide evidence-based insights for educational improvement;
  • providing an international forum for disseminating original research on teaching, learning, pedagogy, and educational innovation;
  • bringing together global scholars, educators, practitioners, and policy-relevant stakeholders to deepen understanding of key educational issues and promote interdisciplinary dialogue.

2) Scope

PedPer is dedicated to promoting and disseminating high-quality and innovative research across the field of education. The journal welcomes rigorous manuscripts using qualitative, quantitative, mixed-methods, theoretical, and methodological approaches, focusing on — but not limited to — the following areas:

  • Educational technologies, AI in education, digital literacy, and digital competencies

5) Why Pedagogical Perspective?

PedPer is built on four commitments that distinguish it as a trusted venue for educational research: rigorous peer review, full open access, transparent editorial standards, and genuine international reach.

Rigorous Double-Blind Peer Review

Every submission undergoes double-blind review by at least two independent subject-area experts. Our structured review process, public peer review policy, and editorial oversight ensure that only methodologically sound, theoretically grounded work is published.

True Open Access — No APCs

PedPer is fully open access under a CC BY 4.0 licence. There are no article processing charges (APCs) for authors, and no subscription fees for readers. Research published in PedPer is freely available to anyone, anywhere — maximising discoverability and citation potential.

COPE-Compliant Ethics Framework

PedPer follows COPE guidelines across all stages of publication — from authorship and peer review to corrections and retractions. Authors are required to adhere to full ethical disclosure standards, including ethics committee approval, conflict of interest declarations, and generative AI transparency.

Consistent Publication Schedule

PedPer publishes on a predictable biannual schedule (March and October), maintaining uninterrupted publication since its founding in 2022. Submission-to-decision timelines are actively monitored to ensure a responsive editorial process.

International Authorship & Editorial Diversity

PedPer actively seeks contributions from scholars across diverse national, linguistic, and institutional contexts. Authors and editorial board members from multiple countries contribute to a genuinely global perspective on educational research — a key criterion for international indexing bodies.

Indexed & Discoverable

PedPer is indexed in ERIH PLUS, EBSCO (H.W. Wilson Education), Google Scholar, Crossref (DOI assigned to every article), MIAR, Ulrichweb, and Türk Eğitim İndeksi. Metadata is available via OAI-PMH and archived through LOCKSS and CLOCKSS.

Language Support for Authors

All accepted manuscripts undergo complimentary language proofreading via Paperpal by Editage prior to publication — at no cost to authors. This ensures that non-native English speakers can participate fully in international scholarly communication without language being a barrier.

Transparent Quality Standards

PedPer maintains publicly documented policies on peer review, publication ethics, plagiarism and similarity screening, corrections and retractions, conflicts of interest, and generative AI use. All policies are freely accessible on the journal website, ensuring full transparency for authors, reviewers, and indexing bodies.
