ADVERTISING & SPONSORSHIP POLICY

Pedagogical Perspective (PedPer)

ISSN: 2822-4841  |  DOI Prefix: 10.29329

Quick Summary

Pedagogical Perspective (PedPer) (eISSN: 2822-4841) is a non-profit, open-access academic journal that does not accept advertising and does not receive commercial sponsorship. This policy affirms the journal’s commitment to editorial independence and ensures that no commercial, financial, or third-party interest influences editorial decisions, content selection, or the peer review process.

1) No Advertising

PedPer does not accept, display, or publish:

  • Commercial advertisements of any kind (display, banner, pop-up, or inline)
  • Sponsored content, advertorials, or paid promotional articles
  • Product placement or endorsements within articles, editorial content, or the journal website
  • Paid links or search engine optimisation (SEO) arrangements that influence content presentation

The journal website is free from all forms of commercial advertising.

2) No Commercial Sponsorship

PedPer does not receive financial support or sponsorship from:

  • Commercial companies, pharmaceutical firms, or technology vendors
  • Industry associations or trade groups
  • Any entity that could create a real or perceived conflict of interest with editorial independence

All costs of publication — including hosting, DOI registration, digital preservation, editorial infrastructure, and language proofreading — are supported by the publisher and the journal’s institutional resources. For details, see the Article Processing Charges (APCs) / Fees page.

3) Editorial Independence

PedPer’s editorial decisions are based solely on scholarly merit, methodological rigor, and ethical compliance. No commercial, financial, or external interest influences which manuscripts are accepted, revised, or rejected. This independence is guaranteed by the separation of editorial and publishing functions, in accordance with COPE guidelines.

For details on the editorial–publisher relationship, see the Publisher & Who We Are page.

4) Institutional and Research Funding

PedPer distinguishes between commercial sponsorship (which is not accepted) and legitimate institutional support and research funding:

  • Institutional support — The journal is supported by the publisher’s institutional resources (Ordu University). This support does not influence editorial decisions.
  • Research funding — Authors are required to disclose all funding sources for their research in the Declarations section of their manuscripts. Funding disclosure is a requirement of PedPer’s Authorship & Contributorship and Conflicts of Interest (COI) Statement

5) Exceptions

In the event that PedPer considers accepting institutional or academic sponsorship (e.g., from a university, research council, or academic foundation) in the future, the following safeguards will apply:

  • All sponsorship arrangements will be disclosed publicly on the journal website
  • No sponsor will have any influence over editorial decisions, content, or peer review
  • Sponsorship will not be contingent on the publication of any specific content
  • The editorial board will review and approve any sponsorship arrangement before it takes effect
