Pedagogical Perspective (PedPer)  |  ISSN: 2822-4841  |  DOI Prefix: 10.29329

Dear Colleagues and Researchers,

We are pleased to announce a special issue of Pedagogical Perspective, dedicated to showcasing the research and insights presented at the TSTT 2023: International Conference — Rethinking How We Train Teachers of Tomorrow.

This special issue critically examines how teacher education can be reimagined to prepare educators for the challenges of a rapidly evolving digital and pedagogical landscape. As educational settings increasingly require the integration of innovative pedagogical approaches and digital technologies, there is a growing need for evidence-based solutions that bridge the theory–practice gap, promote meaningful learning, and equip future teachers with the skills and competencies necessary for effective practice.

Theme and Focus

The special issue centres on reducing the theory–practice gap in teacher education, the use of innovative approaches and pedagogical strategies, and the integration of digital technologies into teacher training. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

  • Curriculum design and pedagogical methodologies for 21st-century teacher education
  • Digital integration and emerging technologies in teacher training
  • Bridging theory and practice through innovative instructional approaches
  • The role of artificial intelligence in shaping teacher education
  • Diversity, inclusion, and equity in teacher training programmes
  • Critical perspectives on digital pedagogies and their effectiveness
  • Reflective practice and research literacy in teacher education

Submission Guidelines

We invited scholars, researchers, and educators to contribute original research articles, reviews, or critical perspectives aligned with the conference theme. Submissions should present novel ideas, methodologies, case studies, or theoretical frameworks that advance the discourse on teacher education for the digital age.

Authors who presented at the TSTT 2023 Conference were invited to submit expanded and substantially revised versions of their papers. Conference presentations do not constitute prior publication, provided the submitted manuscript represents a significant extension of the original work and the conference source is disclosed at the time of submission.

All submissions underwent the same double-blind peer review process as regular manuscripts, by at least two independent reviewers, in accordance with PedPer’s Peer Review Policy. Guest editors coordinated the issue but did not make final acceptance decisions; the Editor-in-Chief retained ultimate editorial authority (see Thematic Issue Policy).
